Amplifying the voices and needs of people with cerebral palsy.
There are over 17 million people living with cerebral palsy worldwide, yet it is one of the least understood disabilities. Whilst working at Purpose, we engaged in a co-creation process with people living with cerebral palsy, and launched a campaign called #MillionsOfReasons for World Cerebral Palsy Day. The campaign encouraged people living with cerebral palsy and their immediate networks (friends, families, health care providers, peers) to share their “reasons” for celebrating and speaking up for change on World Cerebral Palsy Day. The design process involved rigorous accessibility considerations when it came to colour usage, composition and layout. We also translated the campaign logo into 15 different languages, as well as ensured all outputs were able to be read by a screen-reader.
Campaign impact:
- 18 million people reached across Facebook and instagram
- 2 million content interactions across Facebook and instagram
- 13.86% engagement rate on instagram
- 23.5 thousand posts using #worldcpday
