Countering digital threats to the Australian election
During the 2022 Australian Federal election, Reset Australia launched an investigation into social media activity during the election with a focus on platform transparency, misinformation, disinformation and hate speech. A core part of this investigation was the Election Radar, a weekly newsletter that would share emergent case studies to subscribers, tracking how disinformation material was spreading across online platforms, as well as how it was impacting Australians preparing to vote. I created a logo mark, and a series of custom illustrations to aid the campaign that were evocative by nature, and help communicate the sinister nature of disinformation and hate speech online.
